His fields of research interest are in Non-destructive testing on soil and pavement structures, Analysis and applications of seismic wavelets, Dynamical modeling of waves and non-stationary seismic data, Soil-structures interactions, Infrastructures Engineering, Disaster Management System, wahyu widodowahyu widodoConstitutive modeling of soil and pavement material and Energy Engineering Modeling and Managements. He was active to write the paper in Journals and Conferences. He already wrote more than 20 papers which were published in International and Accrediated-National Journals and 40 papers in International and National Conference/Seminar/Symposium. He is an active member in some professional association such as Indonesian Road Development Association (IRDA, Pavement Professional Engineer), Geology Society of Malaysia (GSM), Institution of Engineers, Indonesia (PII), Hellenic Society for Pavement Engineering Research (HELES) and International Association for Computer Methods and Advances Geomechanics. He has joined in some reputable national and international research projects such as CAREPI (European Commission-Kingdom of the Netherlands-Energy research center of the Netherlands for CAREPI project), Science Funds (Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia), and Hibah Bersaing Grant. He has developed the Indonesian Earthquake Loss Estimation System which is the international research collaboration with National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering, Taiwan R.O.C.

The field of his expertice are in Traffic engineering and simulation, Surveys and traffic management system, Environmental impact assessment, Traffic impact assessment, Road intersection and junction design, Optimization of traffic signals, Public transportation system, Transport modeling and Urban design and plan. He received the degree of “Insinyur” of Civil Engineering from Gadjah Mada University/UGM (http://www.ugm.ac.id/) on 1991, and he also hold the degree of Master of Engineering (M.Eng) of Transportation System and Engineering from UGM on 1998. He has a professional certification for Environmental Impact Assessment (AMDAL) Analyst. He has more than 10 important projects in environmental impact assessment including the urban landscape, developing the new regions and traffic analysis. He is an expert in traffic managements and surveys particularly optimization in traffic signals of junctions, transport network and modeling. His previous research projects were focused on traffic simulation and public transportation. Formerly, he was a Dean of Faculty of Engineering (1998 to 2007) in Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (www.umy.ac.id). Curently, he is a Doctorate student in Gadjah Mada University in the field of traffic management and simulation.

He received the Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from Indonesia Islamic University (UII) Yogyakarta (http://www.uii.ac.id/). He hold the degree “Insinyur” on Civil Engineering from the same university. On 1992, he continued his master education degree in Programme of Highway Engineering and System (STJR), Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) (http://www.itb.ac.id/) which the program was collaboration master degree program between ITB and The University of Leeds, UK. and he reveived the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.). His fields of interest are Highway Engineering and Bridges structures. He has more than 20 years professional experiences in highways projects. He has a professional cerification in level of UTAMA from Indonesian Road Development Association (IRDA) in Bridge Design, Highway Supervising, Highway Design and Construction. He has specialization of Highway Engineering in terms of Pavement Materials, Advanced Material Characterisation, Pavement Design and Construction Technologies; Pavement Management System and Prediction of Residual Lifetime of Road Construction. He has been a professional supervisor in some nationalwide highway projects. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (www.ukm.my) in the field of advanced pavement technology of seismic and deflection technique for pavement characterisation.

Slamet Riyadi

He is a lecturer in Electrical Engineering Department of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. His research interests are in the field of Computer controlled system, Artificial Intelligent, Image Processing and Machine Vision System. Based on these capabilities, he has a important rule in LATEI for developing the Intelligent Transport System such as signal processing in non destructive testing in soil and pavement, intelligent visual observation based on image processing for pavement deteriorations and computerized system technology for traffic surveys and control. Currently, he is a Ph.D candidate in Electronics & System Engineering Department, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He held the Sarjana Teknik in Electrical Engineering (Control) from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta (www.ugm.ac.id) on 2000 and he continued the Master of Science program in Electrical, Electronic & System Engineering, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM, http://www.ukm.my). Currently, he is a doctoral student at UKM Malaysia. He had many awards and achievements in academic such as The ASTRA Indonesia Award (1997), The EXXON Mobil Oil Scholarship Award for the National Best Student (1998), The Yayasan Perguruan Teknik Indonesia (YPTI) Award (1999), The Muhammadiyah Travel Grant for presenting papers at International Conferences IEEE TENCON 2006 at Hongkong, The Department of National Education Travel Grant (2006), Graduate Research Assistantship Scholarship from Department of Public Works Malaysia (2004 – 2006) and Graduate Research Assistantship at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia from the research grant funded by Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation, Malaysia (2007 – 2009). His subjects taught in undergraduate degree of UMY (www.umy.ac.id) are Probability & Statistic for Electrical Engineering, Linear System, Optimization and Digital Control System which are important subjects in developing the intelligent system of transport. He is also a member of professional association of The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) and Masyarakat Kendali (MASDALI). The great achievement in transportation engineering is in his research product of Microcontroller-Based Portable Instrument for Impact-Echo Testing which was conduted on master research in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) on 2006. The instrument can be used for detecting the quality of concrete structures in rigid pavement and the cracking as well. He has more than 10 papers that published in Journals and Conferences of National and Internationals such as International Conference on Advance Technologies of Telecommunications and Control Engineering, International Conference IEEE TENCON, International Symposium on Information & Communications Technology and International Conference on Electrical Engineering & Informatics.

His interested studies are in the field of Pavement Design and Managements, Transport Management, Road Safety Analysis, Highway Engineering and Designs, Road Technology and Road Infrastructure Management. His degree of Civil Engineering in the level of “Insinyur” was obtained from Gadjah Mada University (http://www.ugm.ac.id/) on 1991 and he hold the Master of Engineering from Programme of Highway Engineering and System (STJR), Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) (http://www.itb.ac.id/). Previously, he had some research projects in pavement materials which he was a project leader. He has expertise in Highway Engineering and Design, Road-Geometric Design, Transport Management and Transport Infrastructures. He also have more than 15 highways and transport projects. Currently, he involves in the team for developing AdiSucipto International Airport. He is a Head of Civil Engineering Department, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta (www.umy.ac.id). He is also a member of Indonesian Road Development Association (IRDA).
